Warehouse Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations Leadership:

  • Lead and manage daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, storage, order picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Oversee warehouse layout planning, space utilization, and material handling workflows to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance.

Inventory Control & Accuracy:

  • Ensure high inventory accuracy through cycle counts, annual stock takes, and real-time inventory tracking.
  • Manage inbound and outbound inventory movements and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the ERP/WMS.
  • Monitor slow-moving, fast-moving, and obsolete inventory with detailed analysis and reporting.

Data Analytics & Reporting:

  • Utilize Power Query and advanced Excel functions to create automated inventory reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
  • Analyze stock levels, turnover rates, shelf-life performance, and cost trends to support decision-making.
  • Generate regular performance reports on warehouse efficiency, stock accuracy, order fulfillment, and labor productivity.

Team Management & Development:

  • Lead, train, and supervise warehouse teams including supervisors, inventory controllers, and warehouse workers.
  • Allocate workforce effectively based on workload and shift requirements.
  • Ensure a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Compliance, Safety & Quality:

  • Ensure warehouse operations comply with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO), hygiene regulations, and occupational health and safety policies.
  • Maintain traceability and documentation for all stored goods, especially expiry-based items.
  • Oversee inspections, audits, and incident reporting to reduce risk and maintain a safe working environment.

System Optimization & Projects:

  • Drive process improvement initiatives in warehouse design, workflow automation, and system integrations.
  • Collaborate with IT and supply chain teams on ERP/WMS upgrades and business intelligence tools.
  • Support SC strategy development in line with business expansion and scalability.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 10 years of experience in FMCG warehouse management, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.Strong command of Power Query, advanced Excel, and experience with inventory analytics.Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo).Proven ability to lead large teams and manage high-volume inventory environments.
