Senior Supply Chain Planner

The Senior Supply Chain Planner will play a critical role in optimizing and managing the end-to-end supply chain processes. This role involves coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth flow of materials, effective sales forecasting, and inventory management. The Senior Supply Chain Planner is responsible for analyzing data, identifying trends, and implementing strategies to improve supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities:

MRP Cycle Preparation and Optimization:

Lead the preparation and continuous improvement of the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) cycle to ensure timely procurement and effective inventory management.

Monitor MRP performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements to optimize the cycle.

Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP):

Attend weekly and monthly S&OP meetings, providing insights and updates on supply chain activities, forecasts, and material availability.

Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to align the supply chain plan with business goals and demand forecasts.

Trend Analysis and Optimization:

Analyze deviations from the plan, including ordering behavior, stock levels, raw materials, shelf life, blends, alternatives, and waste.

Identify trends and implement corrective actions or optimization measures to improve efficiency and reduce excess inventory or waste.

Sales Forecasting and Product Implementation:

Provide accurate data and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective sales forecasts.

Ensure all products and processes are aligned with forecasted demand, ensuring a seamless supply chain operation.

Inventory and Stock Level Management:

Monitor stock levels regularly to ensure they meet demand while minimizing excess inventory.

Work closely with sales and purchasing teams to minimize stock in alignment with company objectives and best business practices.

Order and Delivery Coordination:

Collaborate with external vendors and internal departments to obtain and manage orders and deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

Prepare and deliver detailed reports to management, analyzing order volumes, delivery timelines, and supply chain performance.

Demand and Supply Management:

Manage the demand and supply of materials by continuously monitoring material availability and coordinating with various departments.

Address and resolve any availability issues or supply chain disruptions that impact production or customer delivery timelines.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

Work closely with stakeholders, including the program manager, to implement strategies aimed at improving supply chain efficiency and resolving operational challenges.

Collaborate with sales, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure alignment across all functions.

Evaluation and Reporting:

Participate in regular weekly and monthly evaluation meetings, providing key performance indicators (KPIs) and insights regarding supply chain activities.

Analyze reports to track the effectiveness of supply chain strategies and recommend improvements where necessary.

Digitization and Process Automation:

Support the alignment and realization of digitization projects within the supply chain department, working closely with stakeholders to identify and implement technology solutions.

Ensure that supply chain processes are optimized through digital tools and that stakeholders are properly engaged in these transformations.


Experience: 4-6years in supply chain planning or related roles with a proven track record in managing and optimizing supply chain processes.Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, create forecasts, and optimize inventory plans.Software Proficiency: Expertise in SAP, Oracle, Excel, and supply chain management tools.Vendor Management: Experience negotiating with suppliers and maintaining strong relationships to ensure smooth operations.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal collaboration and client interaction.Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.Project Management: Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.Cost Management: Ability to implement cost-effective supply chain strategies and improve operational efficiency.Organization: Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field. Certifications like APICS CPIM or CSCP are a plus.
