Job Objective
The Technician will be responsible for overseeing and executing the maintenance of all Machines at the manufacturing site. Performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and ensuring safe operation.
Environment
Internal: GEPD management members, manufacturing, quality & service divisions.
External: In absence of Maintenance supervisor, equipment suppliers and vendors.
Key Responsibility
• Maintenance: Ensuring routine and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshooting and Repairs: Identify mechanical issues in equipment, conduct diagnostics, and supervise repairs to minimize downtime.
Replace defective mechanical components and ensure systems are restored efficiently.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to mechanical safety protocols and industry standards. Conduct regular inspections and preventive checks to ensure operational safety.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all mechanical maintenance activities, including scheduled maintenance, repairs, and part replacements using CMMS software (e.g., SAP-PM).
• Collaboration and coordination: Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure the overall performance of the manufacturing site. Deal with external vendors for spare parts and technical support.
Academic experience required • Diploma or associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field.Professional Experience Required• Fresh graduates are welcome.• Previous Experience in industrial facilities is a Plus.Computing Skills • Basic knowledge of Microsoft officePersonal Skills• Strong Mechanical / Electrical troubleshooting skills.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.• Ability to read and interpret mechanical diagrams /electrical schematics. LanguagesWritten and spoken Arabic.English is a plus.
