Team Leadership & Supervision:
- Lead, motivate, and guide front-line staff, including baristas, servers, and kitchen personnel, ensuring they provide excellent customer service.
- Assist in scheduling and staffing, ensuring shifts are properly covered and team members are working efficiently.
- Ensure team members are trained and following company policies and standards for quality and service.
- Help with onboarding new employees and provide ongoing feedback and development to improve performance.
Customer Service Excellence:
- Ensure the highest level of customer service is maintained at all times.
- Address customer concerns or issues quickly and professionally, ensuring a positive experience.
- Ensure the dining area and service stations are clean, organized, and welcoming for customers.
Operational Support:
- Assist in the daily operations of the café, including overseeing coffee preparation, food service, and order accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking items as needed to ensure smooth service.
- Ensure proper handling and preparation of food and beverages, following health and safety standards.
- Help manage the flow of customers during peak hours, ensuring quick and efficient service.
Quality Control & Consistency:
- Monitor food and beverage quality to ensure consistency and adherence to company standards.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to maintain menu standards and support any new product launches or updates.
- Assist in inventory and waste management, ensuring the proper use of resources.
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure the team follows all health and safety regulations, including food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness.
- Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance checks of equipment and workstations.
- Ensure the café maintains a safe working environment for both staff and customers.
Supporting Operations Management:
- Assist the Operations Manager with administrative tasks, including reports, inventory tracking, and operational planning.
- Help manage and track employee performance, providing input for evaluations and training needs.
- Contribute to implementing operational improvements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a food and beverage setting (preferably in a café /restaurant).Passion for specialty coffee and American breakfast food culture.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.Exceptional customer service skills and a positive attitude towards guests and staff.Ability to handle high-pressure situations and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations in the foodservice industry.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to adapt to changing demands and contribute to a positive work environment.
