1. Warehouse Operations Management
- Oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and dispatching materials.
- Ensure efficient material flow and proper stock placement.
- Supervise the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring safe and proper handling.
2. Inventory Control
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile with system records.
- Monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking or shortages.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and inventory records.
3. Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff in the assigned section.
- Develop schedules and Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring equitable workload distribution.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Provide guidance and support to team members & address and resolve any issues or conflicts within the team.
4. Logistics and Coordination
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure material availability.
- Coordinate the transportation and timely delivery of goods.
- Liaise with suppliers and other departments to address operational needs.
5. Quality and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize workplace accidents and injuries.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials, if applicable..
6. Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare and submit regular reports on stock levels, damaged goods, and warehouse performance.
- Maintain accurate records of all warehouse activities, including receipts, dispatches, and audits.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or losses to the Warehouse Manager.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technologies to enhance warehouse operations.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other tools to streamline processes.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Accuracy of inventory records (e.g., variance percentage).
- Order fulfillment rate and timeliness.
- Reduction in operational costs.
- Safety compliance rate and incident reports. (Safety incident rate).
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 7 years of experience in warehouse management or a related role.Proven track record in inventory control and logistics coordination.Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).Strong understanding of inventory management principles and logistics.Knowledge of safety and compliance standards.Leadership and team management.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Time management and ability to prioritize tasks.Excellent in using Excel sheets and data analysis.
