We are seeking a skilled Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar company or industry. The Accountant will manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance with applicable laws, and alignment with ASSET’s policies and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations
- Maintain and update the general ledger and oversee journal entries for accuracy and compliance.
- Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Manage bank reconciliations and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor budgets, track variances, and provide insights to management for decision-making.
Tax and Regulatory Compliance
- Prepare and submit tax filings, including VAT, corporate taxes, and employee-related tax reports, in compliance with Egyptian laws.
- Ensure adherence to ASSET’s Controllership Policy and applicable financial standards.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities for audits and compliance checks.
Internal Controls
- Implement and monitor internal financial controls to safeguard company assets.
- Conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with ASSET’s Code of Conduct and financial policies.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the company’s financial SOPs.
ERP System Management
- Utilize ASSET’s ERP systems to process and monitor financial transactions.
- Train and support other staff on the efficient use of ERP tools as required.
Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare detailed financial reports and present them to senior management.
- Conduct financial analysis to provide actionable insights for business operations.
- Support management in financial planning, forecasting, and investment decisions.
Collaboration
- Coordinate with the commercial and operational departments to align financial strategies with business goals.
- Support cross-functional initiatives to improve cost efficiencies and revenue tracking.
Qualifications and SkillsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an industrial, oil and gas, or energy-related company.Technical Skills:Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.Familiarity with Egyptian tax laws and international trade compliance.Soft Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.High level of integrity and commitment to ethical standards.
