Planning Engineer

  • Collect and analyze market and customer demand forecasts to determine production requirements.
  • Develop clear and well-structured production plans based on data and forecasts.
  • Ensure the availability of resources to meet planned schedules.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure alignment with operational plans.
  •  Define minimum and maximum inventory levels for each product to avoid overstocking or shortages.
  • Analyze historical consumption data to adjust storage levels effectively.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure workflow consistency.
  • Ensure raw materials reach the production facility on time as per schedules.
  • Oversee the delivery of finished goods to customers within set timelines.
     
  • Analyze current processes and identify weak points to improve performance.
  • Propose and implement cost-reduction strategies, such as optimizing transportation methods or reducing waste.
  • Apply methodologies like Lean Management or Six Sigma to enhance efficiency and eliminate waste.
  • Identify and evaluate new suppliers to ensure reliability.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts to secure the best quality at the lowest cost.
  • Ensure adherence to delivery timelines and quality standards.
  • Identify and assess potential risks, such as delivery delays or material shortages.
  • Develop contingency plans to mitigate the negative impact of risks on operations.
    Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to manage operations efficiently.
  • Use advanced tools like SAP SCM or Oracle SCM for data analysis and planning.
  • Prepare comprehensive performance reports using Excel or Power BI.

 


Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.3–5 years of experience in supply chain planning.Strong understanding of local and international supply chains.Professional certification in APICS CPIM or CSCP is a plus.
