IoT 5G Signalling Expert _VOIS

Role purpose: 


To design & deliver, engineer & innovate the IoT 5G SA signalling network to enable the best Voice and Data experience for IoT customers worldwide.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
 

•    Binding Support Function (BSF) and Service Communication Proxy (SCP) high/low level design, engineering and delivery 
•    BSF and SCP Capacity / Configuration management
•    Responsible for test lab BSF and SCP, i.e. configuration management, SW acceptance, integration, troubleshooting, security, Life Cycle Management
•    BSF and SCP vendor management, i.e. technical engineering SPOC towards the platform vendor (Oracle) on behalf of Vodafone
•    3rd Level Support for production platforms    


Core competencies, knowledge and experience:


•    Demonstrates established experience in Network and Service development and implementation ideally in a Global Telco / IoT environment
•    Proven deep technical skills related to BSF/SCP and Oracle products, including familiarity with 5G standards, blueprints and specialistic tech documentation
•    Good knowledge of CNF/CaaS technology, Public Cloud, SW development, APIs and typical environment problems
•    Assurance experience having looked after Engineering/Operation domains working both with waterfall and agile approach
•    Proven experience and attitude to work in multinational and multicultural teams in a complex large company and matrix environments


Must have technical / professional qualifications: 


•    Degree in electrical / electronic / telecommunications / Software /  Computer engineering

•    Good degree of autonomy and ability to self-start on complex deliverables in ambiguous situations
•    Problem solving and process improvement skills with the ability to implement tactical and strategic solutions as appropriate
•    Excellent communication skills, ability to explain, enlighten, educate and above all engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
