The Pre-Sales FTTX & Structured Cabling Engineering is to plan, design, and implementation of FTTX (Fiber to the X) and structured cabling systems. He provides pre-sales support, contributes to project execution, enhances client satisfaction through effective solutions, and promotes continuous improvement by staying updated with the latest technologies. This role is vital in delivering high-quality services and maintaining the organization's competitiveness
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design of FTTX and structured cabling systems
- Collaborate with the pre-sales team to finalize the total proposal.
- Provide technical support to the implementation and project management teams.
- Conduct regular design and process reviews
- Collaborate with other departments (like sales and procurement)
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
- Coordinate with vendors for technical support and communication during project implementation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of FTTX and structured cabling systems.
- Experience in a pre-sales role is a MUST
- Proven track record of managing and delivering large scale enterprise IT projects.
- Familiarity with the bidding process, pre-sales technical support, and customer-facing roles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer and team interactions.
- Proficiency in network design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Visio).
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Project for project management.
- The ability to work well in a team, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a positive working environment.
- Familiarity with fiber optic network design principles.
- Knowledge of FTTX and structured cabling systems, including the latest technologies, standards, regulations, equipment, and installation practices.
- Understanding of local and international telecommunication standards and safety guidelines.
- Familiarity with IT networks and systems integration.
Certifications (optional):
- Certifications from specific manufacturers/vendors (e.g., Commscope, R&M, etc.) is required.
- Certifications specific to FTTX and structured cabling, such as the Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT), would be highly desirable.
