Lifting Inspector

The primary responsibility of the Lifting Inspector is to inspect and test lifting equipment and lifting gear, ensuring they are in proper working condition and meet all applicable standards. This includes conducting thorough examinations and load tests on industrial lifting appliances and accessories at periodic inspection intervals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Visiting various business and industrial premises to inspect and test equipment.
  • Performing periodic inspections and thorough examinations in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Approving equipment by confirming specifications and conducting visual and load tests.
  • Identifying and reporting defects or damage and rejecting unacceptable equipment.
  • Maintaining documents and records of inspections and delivering them to the concerned department.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures and maintaining safe working practices at all times.
  • Supporting the asset's HSE continuous improvement process in day-to-day operations.

 


Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline or related fields.at least 3 years of experience working as Lifting Inspector in Oil & gas FieldCertified LEEA (min. Foundation and  Lifting accessories Diploma )Certified in NDT methods ( min. MT and PT Level II) Other lifting certificates ( NSL- APOLO etc.. ) will be an advantage Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Thorough knowledge of lifting inspection equipment and procedures.Familiarity with BS (British Standard) Codes.Good communication skills and proficiency in both written and spoken English.
