This position reports into the
Senior Manager, Software Engineering and will be based in our
Cairo, Egypt office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.
What you’ll do:
- AI is central to how we work. You’ll be expected to master generative tools and agentic workflows, moving beyond just using AI to actively building the agentic future of construction.
- Empower, mentor, and scale a high-impact team of 4–6 engineers focused on global traffic and edge networking infrastructure.
- Architect the technical strategy and execution roadmap for Traffic initiatives in Cairo, replacing legacy systems with modern, cloud-native solutions.
- Collaborate with the Senior Engineering Manager and peer leaders to synchronize regional execution with the broader Platform Engineering vision.
- Cultivate engineering excellence by defining SLOs, managing incidents, and aggressively reducing technical debt and operational toil.
- Fortify infrastructure security, ensuring all traffic systems meet stringent compliance controls through close partnership with Security teams.
- Attract, develop, and retain top-tier talent while fostering a culture of extreme ownership, curiosity, and psychological safety.
- Champion an AI-first mindset, integrating AI-assisted tools and agentic workflows into the team’s design and operational lifecycle.
- Execute high-quality technical leadership and coverage during the Cairo workday to support our global "Follow-the-Sun" operational model.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in Software, Systems, or Site Reliability Engineering, including 2+ years of formal people management leading distributed teams.
- Deep technical expertise in backend systems, distributed infrastructure, cloud networking (VPCs, routing, DNS), and Kubernetes/EKS operating at scale.
- Working knowledge of API gateway, service mesh technologies, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm), and CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD, GitHub Actions).
- Proficiency in leveraging AI tools and autonomous agents to optimize the software development lifecycle.
- Proven track record of recruiting, mentoring, and developing top-tier engineering talent in a distributed environment.
- Strong communication, stakeholder alignment, and strategic execution abilities with an operational excellence mindset.
- Exposure to compliance frameworks (SOC 2, SOX) or prior experience leading infrastructure modernization migrations is preferred.

- يعتبر الذكاء الاصطناعي محوراً لطريقة عملنا. سيُتوقع منك إتقان الأدوات التوليدية وسير العمل القائم على الوكلاء، متجاوزاً مجرد استخدام الذكاء الاصطناعي إلى بناء مستقبل الذكاء الاصطناعي في قطاع البناء بشكل فعال.
- تمكين وتوجيه وتوسيع نطاق فريق عالي التأثير يتكون من 4 إلى 6 مهندسين يركزون على حركة المرور العالمية والبنية التحتية لشبكات الحافة.
- هيكلة الاستراتيجية التقنية وخارطة طريق التنفيذ لمبادرات حركة المرور في القاهرة، واستبدال الأنظمة القديمة بحلول حديثة تعتمد على السحابة.
- التعاون مع مدير الهندسة الأول وقادة النظراء لمزامنة التنفيذ الإقليمي مع رؤية هندسة المنصات الأوسع.
- تعزيز التميز الهندسي من خلال تحديد أهداف مستوى الخدمة (SLOs)، وإدارة الحوادث، والتقليل بشكل مكثف من الديون التقنية والجهد التشغيلي.
- تعزيز أمان البنية التحتية، وضمان توافق جميع أنظمة حركة المرور مع ضوابط الامتثال الصارمة من خلال شراكة وثيقة مع فرق الأمن.
- جذب وتطوير والحفاظ على أفضل المواهب مع تعزيز ثقافة الملكية المطلقة، والفضول، والسلامة النفسية.
- دعم عقلية تعطي الأولوية للذكاء الاصطناعي، ودمج الأدوات المساعدة بالذكاء الاصطناعي وسير العمل القائم على الوكلاء في تصميم الفريق ودورة حياته التشغيلية.
- تقديم قيادة تقنية عالية الجودة وتغطية خلال يوم العمل في القاهرة لدعم نموذجنا التشغيلي العالمي "متابعة الشمس" (Follow-the-Sun).
ما نبحث عنه:
- درجة البكالوريوس في علوم الحاسب، أو مجال تقني ذي صلة، أو خبرة عملية معادلة.
- خبرة تزيد عن 8 سنوات في هندسة البرمجيات، أو الأنظمة، أو هندسة موثوقية الموقع (SRE)، بما في ذلك سنتان على الأقل في إدارة الأفراد بشكل رسمي وقيادة فرق موزعة.
- خبرة تقنية عميقة في أنظمة الواجهة الخلفية، والبنية التحتية الموزعة، وشبكات السحابة (VPCs، التوجيه، DNS)، وKubernetes/EKS التي تعمل على نطاق واسع.
