Senior Software Engineer to join Procore’s Software Engineering team. In this role, you’ll deliver improvements to some of the most critical tools our customers use to get their work done safely. This position reports to the
Manager of Software Engineering and will be based in our
Cairo, Egypt office. We’re looking for candidates to join our team immediately!
What will you do:
- AI is central to how we work — you will be expected not only to use AI tools, but to actively design, build, and integrate AI-powered features and agentic workflows into our products
- Contribute to designing and building a system that is aligned with Procore’s engineering vision
- Build product features to satisfy the customer needs and improve their user experience
- Use a collaborative approach to make technical design decisions that improve scalability and performance
- Write a highly performant code that minimizes payload size and deferred scripts while consuming the lowest possible amount of resources
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and UX to design and build solutions that delight users and solve critical business problems
- Communicate complex problems and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate across engineering teams on large-scale initiatives to further Procore's goal to connect everyone in construction on one global platform
- Collaborate effectively with teammates by conducting code reviews, providing mentorship, pairing, and training opportunities
- Serve as a mentor to junior Engineers on the team
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in Object-Oriented Programming, Test-Driven Development, and software design principles
- Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and modern web application development
- Proven experience working with AI-powered solutions, such as integrating AI APIs, building intelligent features (e.g., chatbots, recommendations, automation), or working with LLMs and generative AI tools.
- Experience with React/TypeScript and PostgreSQL is a plus
- Experience building and scaling applications using service-oriented or microservices architecture
- Familiarity with Docker, AWS, and cloud-based development environments
- Strong understanding of balancing technical, performance, and product requirements
- Experience documenting complex systems and aligning teams around technical decisions
- A curious, innovative mindset with a passion for solving real customer problems

- يُعد الذكاء الاصطناعي عنصرًا محوريًا في طريقة عملنا — ويُتوقع منك ليس فقط استخدام أدوات الذكاء الاصطناعي، بل تصميم وبناء ودمج الميزات المدعومة بالذكاء الاصطناعي وسير العمل الذاتي (agentic workflows) بشكل فعال في منتجاتنا
- المساهمة في تصميم وبناء نظام يتوافق مع الرؤية الهندسية لشركة Procore
- بناء ميزات المنتج لتلبية احتياجات العملاء وتحسين تجربة المستخدم الخاصة بهم
- اتباع نهج تعاوني لاتخاذ قرارات التصميم التقني التي تحسن القابلية للتوسع والأداء
- كتابة برمجيات عالية الأداء تقلل من حجم الحمولة (payload) والبرامج النصية المؤجلة مع استهلاك أقل قدر ممكن من الموارد
- التعاون مع فرق الهندسة والمنتج وتجربة المستخدم لتصميم وبناء حلول تسعد المستخدمين وتحل المشكلات التجارية الحرجة
- توصيل المشكلات والحلول المعقدة للأطراف المعنية التقنيين وغير التقنيين
- التعاون عبر الفرق الهندسية في مبادرات واسعة النطاق لتعزيز هدف Procore المتمثل في ربط الجميع في مجال الإنشاءات على منصة عالمية واحدة
- التعاون بفعالية مع أعضاء الفريق من خلال إجراء مراجعات الأكواد، وتقديم التوجيه، والبرمجة الثنائية، وفرص التدريب
- العمل كمرشد للمهندسين المبتدئين في الفريق
ما الذي نبحث عنه:
- خبرة تزيد عن 5 سنوات في البرمجة الكائنية التوجه (Object-Oriented Programming)، والتطوير الموجه بالاختبار (Test-Driven Development)، ومبادئ تصميم البرمجيات
- خبرة عملية قوية في Ruby on Rails وتطوير تطبيقات الويب الحديثة
- خبرة مثبتة في العمل مع الحلول المدعومة بالذكاء الاصطناعي، مثل دمج واجهات برمجة التطبيقات (AI APIs)، أو بناء ميزات ذكية (مثل روبوتات الدردشة، التوصيات، الأتمتة)، أو العمل مع نماذج اللغات الكبيرة (LLMs) وأدوات الذكاء الاصطناعي التوليدي.
- تعتبر الخبرة في React/TypeScript وPostgreSQL ميزة إضافية
