Role Description

The Façade Structural Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Heliopolis, responsible for the structural design and analysis of façade and curtain wall systems. Day-to-day tasks include performing structural calculations, conducting detailed structural analysis of aluminum curtain walls, glazing, and cladding systems, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The engineer will prepare and review CAD drawings, collaborate with design, fabrication, and installation teams, and provide technical guidance to architects, contractors, and project managers. The role also involves reviewing shop and fabrication drawings, coordinating solutions for complex façade details, and supporting quality control and value engineering throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to façade and curtain wall systems.
• Proficiency in Structural Analysis and Calculations for aluminum, glass, and composite materials under various load conditions.
• Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for preparing, reviewing, and modifying façade, cladding, and connection details.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Knowledge of relevant international and local building codes, façade performance criteria, and standards for wind, seismic, and thermal loads.
• Experience working with curtain wall, glazing, and façade systems, including interfaces with primary structures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and drawings.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for coordinating with architects, consultants, and site teams.
• Ability to work on-site in Heliopolis and support multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
