Job Announcement“Fundraising Specialist”The Association of Upper Egypt for Education and Development announces a job opening for selecting and employing a “Fundraising Specialist”. Job location: Main office – Daher – Cairo – Egypt. Attentions: Job for Egyptian only. Purpose of the Post The purpose of the post is to find new sources of funding for AUEED’s programs and activities through different channels and to organize fundraising events. Major Duties and Responsibilities1. Develop a fundraising plan for securing new sources of funds in Egypt.2. Research and create a database of Egyptian and Multinational companies, banks and foundations that adopt a CSR strategy in Egypt.3. Communicate with and build relations with donors (letters, e-mails, presentations, etc.) to present AUEED and its programs and identify common areas of interest.4. Develop presentations and marketing materials to market AUEED with companies, banks and foundations in English and Arabic.5. Develop project applications and /or proposals to be marketed with the various fundraising and follow-up on them.6. Develop periodic narrative reports & ensure proper financial reporting to partners.7. Plan and organize fundraising events including preparing the program, marketing the invitations and tickets, securing corporate sponsors and managing the events’ logistics.8. Organize and conduct donors visits to Upper Egypt as per need.9. Carry out other functions related to fundraising & marketing as assigned by AUEED. Requirements: - A relevant university degree. - Strong public relations rolls and organizational skills. - Strong written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills. - At least 8 years’ experience in a similar position. - Perfect Command of English Language and excellent writing skills. French is desirable. - Perfect Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Social Media) - Positive attitude and ability to work on their own and take initiative and within a team. - Knowledge of community development and NGO work is an asset. - Based in Cairo office, with occasional visits to Upper Egypt.
