Yasser Al Beltagy Architects (YBA) is hiring:Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer Location: Mansoura Site Experience Required: Minimum 15 years Scope of the Role:The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading, reviewing, and coordinating all electrical engineering activities both in the technical office and on-site. The role ensures that electrical designs, drawings, calculations, and site execution fully comply with project specifications, safety standards, and client requirements. Accountabilities Responsibilities:Technical Office Responsibilities:Lead the preparation, review, and approval of electrical design/shop drawings, calculations, and technical submittals. Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and Requests for Information (RFIs). Coordinate with architectural, civil, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines to resolve design discrepancies. Ensure electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, low current, fire alarm, backup systems) strictly comply with project specifications and international standards. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior electrical engineers. Participate in value engineering to propose cost-effective and practical electrical solutions. Maintain organized technical documentation while adhering strictly to QA/QC procedures. Site Responsibilities:Supervise all electrical works on-site, including power distribution, lighting, LV/MV systems, backup systems, and low-current systems. Ensure construction execution directly aligns with approved drawings, project specifications, and safety standards. Inspect, witness, and approve installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems. Coordinate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, and other site disciplines to resolve technical issues promptly. Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and actively participate in site coordination meetings. Enforce full compliance with safety regulations and site execution procedures. Job Competencies & Qualifications: Education:Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Experience: Minimum 10-15 years of experience in electrical engineering for construction projects, with proven combined experience in both technical office and site supervision. Experience in large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects is highly preferred. Deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards (IEC, NEC, BS, NFPA). Proficiency in engineering software: (Auto CAD Electrical, ETAP, Dialux, Revit MEP). Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and coordination abilities across multidisciplinary teams. Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE, LEED) are considered a strong advantage.
