Think of when you go to a supermarket and you pay by card , unless you go to a supermarket that has a loyalty program and you get your loyalty card out, the POS terminal doesn't tell the retailer if you're a new or returning customer, demographics, gender, etc. Unlike e-ecommerce, in physical retail customer identification always had to be a separate step because the payment terminal is not built to self-identify the paying customer. Hence, a plethora of valuable data is lost or underutilized. About The Role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Zeal, you'll be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop responsive web applications using cutting-edge technologies like React.js. Your role involves maintaining and enhancing applications, conducting code reviews, and troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal performance. Strong problem-solving skills, Agile/Scrum experience, and effective communication are key attributes for success in this role. Knowledge of financial industry practices would be a valuable plus.

Your Main Responsibilities Are To

Work closely with UX/UI designers and product managers to understand project requirements and objectives. Participate in collaborative brainstorming sessions to contribute technical insights and recommendations. Design and develop robust and scalable web applications. Utilize React.js, Next.js, React Query, Styled Components and Tailwind to build responsive and visually appealing user interfaces. Implement and maintain state-of-the-art frontend architectures to ensure optimal performance. Conduct regular code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and scalability. Troubleshoot and debug issues, and implement solutions to improve application reliability. Optimize web application performance and ensure scalability for a seamless user experience. Mentor junior engineers, promoting best coding and engineering practices

The Ideal Candidate Should Have

4+ years of experience as a Frontend Engineer. Extensive experience with React.js and the React ecosystem. Solid understanding of web development fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, and Java Script. Experience with state management libraries and design patterns. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration of third-party services. Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Demonstrated ownership and commitment to code quality and reliability. Knowledge of financial industry practices and compliance standards is a plus.
