About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented Mobile QC Engineer to own the quality of our mobile app on i OS or Android. You'll test every new feature, catch bugs before our users do, and make sure each release feels polished on real devices. This is a hands-on role where your feedback directly shapes the product.
Prior QC experience is not a requirement. We care far more about dedication, commitment, and cultural fit than about years on a CV. If you have a sharp eye for quality and the drive to learn fast, we'll teach you the rest.
What You'll Do
Test new features, bug fixes, and UI changes on the Pleny app before every release Write and maintain test cases covering functional, regression, and edge-case scenarios Test the app extensively on real devices across multiple OS versions and screen sizes Write and maintain test cases covering functional, regression, and edge-case scenarios Log detailed, reproducible bug reports with clear steps, screenshots, and screen recordings Verify fixes and perform regression testing across multiple devices and versions Collaborate closely with the development team to clarify requirements and prioritize issues Test API integrations, push notifications, in-app purchases, and social features Monitor app performance, crash reports, and user-facing issues post-release Work closely with the development team in an agile cycle — sprint planning, standups, and fast feedback loops Contribute to improving our QA processes and testing coverage over time
What You'll Learn

In this role you'll pick up:QC automation with Maestro — building and maintaining automated mobile test flows API testing with Postman — collections, environments, and validating backend behavior Observability tools — Datadog and Post Hog for crash tracking, session replay, and real-user monitoring Product analytics — reading funnels and user behavior data to spot issues the test plan missed
What We're Looking For
Dedication and commitment to the role, regardless of experience level A genuine eye for quality — you notice the misaligned pixel, the janky animation, the odd empty state Strong attention to detail and the patience to reproduce and isolate a bug properly Excellent written communication — a bug report should be clear enough to act on without a follow-up call Solid understanding of mobile platform behavior, gestures, and platform design guidelines (Human Interface Guidelines for i OS, Material Design for Android) Self-motivated, able to manage your own time in a part-time, remote setting Available for 30 hours per week, with meaningful overlap with team working hours Comfortable in an agile, fast-moving startup environment
Requirements
Your own i OS or Android device for daily testing (required) A Mac is a plus, especially for i OS testing and tooling Familiarity with a bug tracking tool such as Click Up or Jira is a plus, not a must
