Payroll Specialist Department: Payroll & Personnel Reports To: Payroll & Personnel Manager Location: Cairo, Egypt Position Overview The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing monthly payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with Egyptian labor, tax, and social insurance regulations, while maintaining accurate payroll records and providing timely payroll reports. Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing Prepare and process monthly payroll accurately and on time. Review attendance, overtime, deductions, allowances, bonuses, and other payroll inputs. Calculate salaries, net pay, deductions, and employee entitlements. Ensure accurate processing of new hires, resignations, promotions, salary adjustments, and other payroll changes. Review payroll calculations and resolve discrepancies before finalization. Tax & Social Insurance Ensure payroll calculations comply with Egyptian tax and social insurance regulations. Coordinate with the Personnel team regarding social insurance and employee data. Support the preparation of payroll-related tax and social insurance reports. Stay updated on relevant changes in payroll regulations and requirements. Payroll Reporting & Reconciliation Prepare monthly payroll reports and required management reports. Reconcile payroll figures with accounting records and investigate discrepancies. Maintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentation. Provide payroll data and reports for internal and external audits when required. Employee & Client Support Respond to employees' payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues professionally. Coordinate with HR and Personnel teams to ensure accurate employee data. If working within an outsourcing environment, handle payroll processing and inquiries for multiple clients while maintaining confidentiality and service quality. Systems & Documentation Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records. Ensure payroll data is properly maintained in the payroll/HR system and Excel. Maintain proper documentation and filing of payroll-related transactions. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.1–3 years of relevant experience in Payroll. Good knowledge of Egyptian payroll, tax, and social insurance regulations. Good knowledge of payroll calculations, deductions, overtime, allowances, and employee benefits. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with payroll or HR systems is preferred. Experience handling payroll for multiple companies/clients is a strong plus. Good analytical and numerical skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information. Good communication skills. Good command of English.
