Senior Architect (AR-26-02) Location: Nasr City, Cairo, Egypt GSC Engineering & Geo Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join our architectural team within a growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy. The successful candidate will combine strong design leadership with advanced BIM expertise, taking responsibility for design quality, team performance, multidisciplinary coordination, and the delivery of projects across the GCC region. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering; professional registration or relevant postgraduate qualifications are an advantage. Minimum 12 years of progressive architectural experience, including proven experience in a senior or team leadership role within engineering consultancy firms. A strong architectural design portfolio demonstrating concept development, design excellence, technical resolution, and successful delivery of complex projects. Substantial hands-on experience delivering projects in GCC countries, with strong knowledge of regional design practices, authority requirements, building codes, and approval processes. Proven ability to lead, mentor, allocate work to, and review the output of architects and BIM team members while maintaining quality, programme, and budget objectives. Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and BIM-based project delivery; experience with point cloud processing and Autodesk Recap is highly desirable. Requirements Lead the architectural design process from concept and schematic design through detailed design, tender, and construction documentation. Manage and mentor the architectural team, assign responsibilities, monitor progress, review deliverables, and support the professional development of team members. Act as the architectural BIM lead, establishing and enforcing modelling standards, BIM workflows, model quality, information management, and Revit best practices. Coordinate architectural models and design deliverables with Structural, MEP, geotechnical, geophysical, and other specialist disciplines within a collaborative BIM environment. Lead design reviews, clash resolution, constructability reviews, and interdisciplinary coordination using Revit and Navisworks. Provide strong design direction and ensure that architectural solutions meet client objectives, functional requirements, aesthetics, sustainability goals, and technical standards. Review and approve architectural drawings, models, specifications, schedules, reports, and submission packages before issue. Engage confidently with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities; lead technical meetings and present design solutions clearly. Demonstrate strong knowledge of international and GCC building codes and standards, including accessibility, Fire & Life Safety, and local authority regulations. Experience in existing-building assessment, renovation, refurbishment, rehabilitation, and point-cloud-to-BIM workflows is an advantage. Strong knowledge of facade systems, architectural materials, construction detailing, specifications, and quality control throughout design development. Experience across commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, or infrastructure projects in GCC markets is preferred. Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet demanding deadlines.
