Role Description The Supply Chain Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at El Amal Hospital in Cairo, Egypt. This role oversees end-to-end supply chain activities, including demand planning, procurement, inventory management, and coordination with internal departments and external suppliers. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring stock levels, placing and tracking orders, negotiating with vendors, managing contracts, and ensuring timely availability of medical supplies, equipment, and consumables. The Supply Chain Manager analyzes usage patterns, prepares reports, and implements process improvements to reduce costs, minimize stock-outs, and prevent overstocking. The role collaborates closely with clinical and administrative teams to align supply chain operations with patient care needs, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong demand planning and analytical skills to forecast needs, interpret data, and support decision-making. Candidates should possess supply management and procurement skills to manage vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective purchasing. Candidates should possess inventory management skills to control stock levels, manage storage, and maintain accurate records. Candidates should possess solid communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clinical, administrative, and external stakeholders. Relevant experience in supply chain management, preferably in healthcare or a similar regulated environment. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) are an advantage. Proficiency in supply chain or ERP software and MS Office applications. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced hospital setting.
