Job Title - Senior Field Service Engineer Reporting To - Operations Director Location - Cairo, Egypt
Key Responsibilities Attend site either on or off shore within the African Continent in support of the business development for installation, commissioning, site investigation and site reviews / inspections. Ensure all personnel working within the team are working safely, have appropriate inductions, risk assessments and toolbox talks and are following both TSS and client safety methods and standards. Act as mentor and give guidance to Field Service Engineers in their day to day tasks. Ensure all OEM procedures are followed, taking appropriate actions to ensure quality and recording data into the QA system. Liaise with the Torishima engineering support team and/or the client field engineer to ensure correct actions are taken. Promotion of TSS core values when working with and on customers sites, identifying potential revenue streams that add value to both the customer and to TSS. Manage onsite resources, ensuring the most productive use of all hours available. Liaising with the TSS Service Manager and service administration when required. Identify and source required materials and equipment and make them available to the worksite as appropriate. Ensure all Client Permit to Work, and other work order card procedures are in place prior to and during operations. Ensure daily reports are accurate and timesheets signed and submitted on a daily basis. Submission of field technical reports on work completed and recommendations following site visits. Installation and commissioning of equipment as per OEM procedures. Quality of workmanship. Accurate and on time submission of field service reports. Completion of work in line with work plan, highlighting additional work and potential claims. Identification of complimentary work with the client when on site.
Qualifications & Requirements English and Arabic essential. Engineer with Bachelor’s Degree. Computer Literate.
Prior Work Experience & Skills Formal technical apprenticeship. Ability to travel within the African Continent. Strong working knowledge of rotating equipment with an emphasis on high pressure, vertical and split casing pump types and associated equipment. Understanding of pump operation and fault finding of equipment in the field. Work experience on Power, Desalination / RO plants and onshore / offshore oil and gas installations. Workshop experience. Self starter with the ability to make technical decisions. Strong interpersonal communications skills. Ability to develop relationships with others. Ability to identify sales opportunities and maintain customer relationships. Good computer skills and report writing skills, a safe driving record and a valid driver's license. Minimum of 7-10 years relevant experience.
