About the Job:The Category Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to manage product categories effectively, optimize product assortments, and drive sales growth. This role involves analyzing market trends, managing supplier relationships, and collaborating with cross functional teams to maximize category profitability and meet customer needs.
Responsibilities:Include but not limited to:Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business objectives. Conduct market research and analyze consumer trends to identify growth opportunities. Manage supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms and pricing. Monitor category performance using sales data and key performance indicators. Collaborate with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to optimize product assortment and promotions. Forecast demand and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability. Identify and mitigate risks related to category performance or supply chain disruptions. Prepare reports and presentations for senior management regarding category health and recommendations. Stay updated on industry developments and competitor activities.

Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA preferred. Minimum of 4-5 years experience in category management, merchandising, or related roles. Proven track record of driving sales growth and profitability within assigned categories. Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
