Job description

Perform preventive, periodic, and corrective maintenance on sorting lines, conveyors, packaging machines, and facility pumps.
Quickly diagnose mechanical faults and identify root causes, implementing appropriate solutions to minimize downtime.
Maintain cooling system chains, including rapid cold room doors, cooling units (Evaporators), fan units, and dock levelers.
Carry out all maintenance work in accordance with food safety standards such as HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, using food-grade materials and performing cleaning and sanitizing after maintenance.
Record maintenance work orders and spare parts used accurately in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Fully comply with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures before starting any equipment maintenance.
Perform maintenance and repair on chocolate manufacturing machines, VFFS, Flow Pack, labeling machines, and packaging machines.
7 to 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within food manufacturing companies or FMCG or cold storage rooms/warehouses.
Physical fitness to work at heights and in confined spaces, and the ability to work in cold rooms at temperatures ranging from -18°C to +4°C.
Flexibility to work in shifts.
Technical skills: advanced experience in maintenance, replacement and adjustment of belts, chains, gears, drives, and maintenance of gearboxes and coupling systems.
Proficiency in disassembly, lubrication, and alignment troubleshooting of conventional and food-grade ball bearings, and diagnosing misalignment and vibration issues.
Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including compressors, pneumatic cylinders, control valves, air handling units (FRL), pumps, and hydraulic actuators.
Ability to perform cutting, grinding, mechanical assembly, TIG and ARC welding, with preference for experience in welding and fabricating stainless steel used in food industries.
Experience in maintaining centrifugal pumps and positive displacement pumps, and replacing Mechanical Seals, O-Rings, and Gaskets.
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and assemblies, piping isometrics, and pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams
