Role purpose
The QA & Testing Auto. Tech Specialist is responsible for supporting the testing team to ensure the quality and reliability of software products. This entry-level role focuses on executing manual test cases, learning the fundamentals of automation, and assisting in the identification and reporting of bugs. The engineer will work under the supervision of senior testers and collaborate with development teams to gain hands-on experience in the software testing lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Test execution & documentation
Execute manual test cases and report defects clearly.
Assist in documenting test scenarios, steps, and expected results.
Help maintain test artifacts under guidance.
Automation support
Participate in learning automation scripting and framework usage.
Assist in running automated tests and interpreting basic results.
Support senior testers in test script development and maintenance.
Collaboration & communication
Work closely with business team members and developers to understand requirements and testing scope.
Attend daily standups, sprint planning, and review meetings.
Provide updates on test execution progress and issues.
Learning & development
Take part in internal training and mentorship programs.
Stay updated with foundational QC and automation concepts.
Gradually take on more complex testing tasks as skills develop.
Capture lessons learnt and best practice to improve test methodologies.
Competencies and qualifications
Education & experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
1–2 years of experience in software testing.
Internship or academic experience in testing is a plus.
Basic understanding of software development and QA processes.
Certified ISTQB Foundation level is mandatory.
Technical skills:
Knowledge of test case design, execution, and bug reporting.
Familiarity with at least one test management or defect-tracking tool (e.g., JIRA).
Exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium).
Basic understanding of scripting or programming (e.g., Java, Python).
Awareness of Agile methodologies.
Certified ISTQB Agile tester is a plus.
Soft skills:
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior team members.
Detail-oriented mindset with an eagerness to improve.
Team player with a proactive attitude.

الغرض من الدور
مسؤولية مختص QA والاختبار Auto. Tech عن دعم فريق الاختبار لضمان جودة وموثوقية منتجات البرمجيات. يركّز هذا الدور المبدئي على تنفيذ حالات الاختبار اليدوية، تعلّم أساسيات الأتمتة، والمساعدة في تحديد وتوثيق الأخطاء. سيعمل المهندس تحت إشراف مختبرين كبار ويتعاون مع فرق التطوير لاكتساب خبرة عملية في دورة حياة اختبار البرمجيات.
المسؤوليات
تنفيذ الاختبار والتوثيق
تنفيذ حالات الاختبار اليدوية وتقارير العيوب بشكل واضح.
المساعدة في توثيق سيناريوهات الاختبار والخطوات والنتائج المتوقعة.
المساعدة في الحفاظ على وثائق الاختبار تحت الإرشاد.
دعم الأتمتة
المشاركة في تعلم كتابة أوامر الأتمتة واستخدام الأطر.
المساعدة في تشغيل الاختبارات الآلية وتفسير النتائج الأساسية.
دعم المختبرين الكبار في تطوير وصيانة نصوص الاختبار.
التعاون والاتصال
العمل عن كثب مع أعضاء الفريق التجاري والمطورين لفهم المتطلبات ونطاق الاختبار.
حضور الاجتماعات اليومية والتخطيط والتقييم.
تقديم تحديثات حول تقدم تنفيذ الاختبار والمشكلات.
التعلم والتطوير
المشاركة في التدريبات الداخلية وبرامج الإرشاد.
متابعة أساسيات ضمان الجودة ومفاهيم الأتمتة.
التدرج في تولّي مهام اختبار أكثر تعقيداً مع تطور المهارات.
التقاط الدروس المستفادة وممارساتنا الفضلى لتحسين منهجيات الاختبار.
الكفاءات والمؤهلات
التعليم والخبرة:
درجة البكالوريوس في علوم الحاسوب، تكنولوجيا المعلومات، أو مجال ذي صلة.
1–2 سنوات من الخبرة في اختبار البرمجيات.
التدريب الداخلي أو الخبرة الأكاديمية في الاختبار تعتبر ميزة.
فهم أساسي لتطوير البرمجيات وعمليات QA.
شهادة ISTQB Foundation إلزامية.
المهارات التقنية:
معرفة تصميم وتنفيذ واستخراج تقارير العيوب.
الاطلاع على أداة إدارة الاختبار أو تتبع العيوب على الأقل (مثلاً JIRA).
التعرض لأدوات الاختبار الآلي (مثلاً Selenium، Appium).
فهم أساسي للبرمجة أو السكريبتينغ (مثلاً Java، Python).
