Location Cairo Department Design - HAKEng Employment Type Full-time Closes On 22 Aug, 2026 Job Purpose The Structural Design Manager is responsible for leading and managing structural design activities within the Technical Office. The role includes preparing and reviewing structural studies, calculations, and design drawings while ensuring compliance with project requirements, the Saudi Building Code, and applicable engineering standards. The position also oversees the Technical Office Design Unit, including Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire & Life Safety disciplines, ensuring effective multidisciplinary coordination, high-quality design deliverables, adherence to project schedules, and client requirements. In addition, the role participates in reviewing and approving BIM models, managing technical coordination across disciplines, and supporting the preparation of technical proposals and project design deliverables.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering).
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.
- Professional Engineer classification/certification.
- 7 12 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in preparing and reviewing structural designs, calculations, and drawings for various types of projects.
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and supervising design activities.
- Advanced knowledge of the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and relevant structural codes and standards.
- Strong technical review, quality assurance, time management, and professional communication skills.
- Proficiency in engineering software and specialized design tools.
- Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design software, including ETABS, SAFE, and SAP2000.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (BIM) and AutoCAD.
- Advanced knowledge of local and international engineering codes and standards.
- Prepare structural studies and design solutions for various projects.
- Perform structural analysis for buildings and infrastructure.
- Design structural elements in accordance with engineering standards.
- Review structural loads and verify the safety and integrity of design solutions.
- Develop efficient and practical structural engineering solutions for project requirements.
