Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based at Khairat Market | خيرات ماركت in Cairo, Egypt. The Accountant will handle daily bookkeeping activities, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. The role includes preparing financial reports, monitoring cash flow, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. The Accountant will manage accounts payable and receivable, verify invoices, ensure timely payments, and follow up on outstanding balances. Responsibilities also cover ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations, assisting with audits, and coordinating with internal teams to provide accurate financial data for decision-making.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, local tax regulations, and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including spreadsheets, formulas, and financial analysis tools. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to analyze financial data, interpret trends, and provide clear, concise reports to stakeholders. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with operations, procurement, and management teams. Relevant bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are an advantage. Experience in retail, FMCG, or market environments is preferred, with familiarity in inventory and cost control accounting. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to ethical financial practices.
