Role Description The Senior Primary Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This role is responsible for leading the design, analysis, and optimization of primary engineering systems and components, ensuring technical quality, safety, and compliance with relevant standards. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing engineering drawings and specifications, coordinating with project managers and cross-functional teams, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers. The Senior Primary Engineer will participate in project planning, conduct performance assessments, support troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and collaborate with external partners and suppliers as needed. The role also involves preparing technical reports, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring that project milestones are met on time and within budget.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in primary engineering disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering, with proven experience in design, analysis, and system integration. Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., CAD platforms, modeling and simulation software) and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Experience in project coordination, including planning, scheduling, risk assessment, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Solid understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices relevant to engineering and infrastructure projects. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex technical challenges under time constraints. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to provide mentorship to less experienced engineers and collaborate with stakeholders at different levels. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil, or related field); a master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PE or equivalent) is an advantage. Prior experience in sectors such as energy infrastructure, industrial manufacturing, transportation, or related fields is highly beneficial. Ability to work on-site in Cairo, Egypt, and to adapt to a fast-paced environment with evolving project requirements.
