Role Description: This full-time, on-site Road Design Engineer role is based in Qesm 1st Nasser City. The Road Design Engineer will be responsible for preparing road and highway designs, including alignment, profiles, cross-sections, and pavement structure in accordance with relevant standards and regulations. Daily tasks include developing detailed drawings and models using CAD tools, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and reviewing design inputs such as traffic studies, survey data, geotechnical reports, and utilities layouts. The role involves producing technical reports, calculations, and specifications, supporting tender documents, and responding to design-related queries during construction. The Road Design Engineer will also participate in design reviews, quality assurance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, constructability, and sustainability of road projects.
Qualifications:Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering skills with a focus on road and highway design principles, standards, and best practices. Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering fundamentals relevant to infrastructure projects and integrated roadway systems. Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, including proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Auto CAD, Civil 3D or similar). Candidates should possess Product Design and infrastructure design competencies, including the ability to translate project requirements into practical, safe, and maintainable solutions. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline. Experience in road or transportation engineering projects, preferably within consultancy or design offices. Knowledge of relevant local and international road design codes and guidelines. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in design work. Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with capacity to collaborate across multidisciplinary project teams. Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving project requirements on-site.
