Role Description As a Senior Web Designer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining the digital presence of The Grand Mandarin and The Royal Mandarin, ensuring that online experiences reflect the brand’s meticulous standards. Day-to-day tasks include creating and refining website layouts, designing graphics and visual assets, and developing responsive user interfaces in collaboration with front-end developers. You will work closely with marketing and operations teams to translate cruise offerings and guest experiences into intuitive, visually compelling web pages and landing pages. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. You will also participate in continuous improvement of design guidelines, usability standards, and digital brand consistency.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Web Design and Responsive Web Design skills, with a portfolio demonstrating user-centered layouts and refined visual aesthetics. Candidates should possess Graphic Design and Graphics skills, including the ability to create high-quality visual assets and optimize imagery for web use. Candidates should possess Front-End Development skills, with experience in implementing designs using HTML, CSS, and basic Java Script in collaboration with engineering teams. Experience designing for hospitality, luxury, or travel brands is beneficial, with an emphasis on visual storytelling and brand consistency. Proficiency with industry-standard design tools (such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop, or Illustrator) and familiarity with responsive design frameworks. Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and comfort working in an on-site, cross-functional environment. Bachelor’s degree in Design, Digital Media, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Effective communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
