  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained.
  • Assign duties and inspect completed work to ensure compliance with hospital standards, policies, and infection control requirements.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training as needed.
  • Investigate and address housekeeping-related complaints and take corrective actions promptly.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of housekeeping requests.
  • Conduct orientation and departmental training for newly assigned housekeeping staff.
  • Ensure the proper use, handling, and maintenance of housekeeping equipment and supplies.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning materials and supplies and report shortages to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports on housekeeping activities, staff attendance, and operational issues.
  • Ensure that all assigned areas, patient rooms, offices, and public areas are maintained according to established standards.
  • Inspect facilities regularly and report maintenance issues, repairs, or equipment replacement needs to the concerned department.
  • Assist in emergencies and support housekeeping operations during staff shortages or high-demand periods.
  • Maintain accurate records related to staff attendance, work assignments, and housekeeping activities.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and communicate organizational policies and procedures to the housekeeping team.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital safety regulations, infection prevention standards, and quality requirements.
  • Support the Housekeeping Manager in implementing departmental objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
