3D Designer – Events & Exhibitions

About the Role

Ultimate Advertising Agency is seeking a talented and creative 3D Designer to join our Events & Exhibitions team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming concepts into visually compelling and technically accurate 3D designs for exhibitions, trade shows, conferences, activations, and experiential marketing events.

The successful candidate must possess strong spatial awareness, technical design skills, and the ability to create realistic visualizations that can be seamlessly translated into production and fabrication.

Key Responsibilities

Exhibition & Booth Design

* Design custom exhibition stands, trade show booths, pavilions, and branded environments based on client briefs, venue requirements, and event objectives.
* Develop innovative concepts that maximize brand visibility, visitor engagement, and functionality.
* Ensure all designs comply with venue regulations, floor plans, height restrictions, and safety requirements.

Stage & Event Design

* Create large-scale conference stages, scenic backdrops, speaker platforms, lighting structures, and event environments.
* Design premium event experiences that combine creativity, functionality, and production feasibility.
* Collaborate with event planners, production teams, and creative departments to bring concepts to life.

Technical Design & Production Support

* Produce accurate 3D models, layouts, elevations, and technical drawings for fabrication and installation teams.
* Generate detailed dimensions, material specifications, and production-ready files.
* Ensure designs are technically feasible and optimized for manufacturing and on-site execution.

Experiential & Spatial Design

* Design interactive brand experiences, product display areas, VIP lounges, registration zones, activation spaces, and photo opportunity installations.
* Plan visitor flow and space utilization to enhance the overall event experience.
* Develop creative solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, and operational requirements.

Requirements

Technical Skills

* Strong proficiency in 3D design and visualization software such as 3ds Max, Blender, Cinema 4D, Sketch Up, or similar.
* Expertise in rendering software including V-Ray, Corona Renderer, Redshift, or equivalent.
* Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator.
* Ability to create photorealistic renders, material applications, and realistic lighting setups.
* Experience reading and working with architectural drawings, CAD files, and venue floor plans.

Industry Knowledge

* Strong understanding of exhibition fabrication, event production, and experiential marketing environments.
* Knowledge of construction materials including wood, acrylic, metal structures, truss systems, tension fabric, and printing applications.
* Excellent understanding of scale, proportions, ergonomics, and real-world spatial planning.

Professional Competencies

* Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Ability to rapidly revise and adapt designs based on client feedback and project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, 3D Design, or a related field.
* 2+ years of experience in Events, Exhibitions, Activations, Experiential Marketing, or Advertising Agencies.
* Strong portfolio showcasing exhibition stands, event stages, experiential spaces, and high-quality 3D visualizations.
