MHCEG, part of Mosaic Holding Corporation headquartered in Calgary, Canada, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Energy Solutions Manager to join our growing team in Cairo, Egypt.
The successful candidate will lead energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives, conduct advanced energy audits and feasibility studies, support business development activities, and deliver innovative technical solutions for commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. This role requires strong technical expertise in energy management, energy modelling, renewable energy systems, carbon reduction strategies, and measurement & verification practices.
Key Responsibilities
Develop cost-benefit analyses, business cases, and value propositions for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Coach, support, and collaborate with sales associates to grow project pipelines and secure project wins. Conduct on-site ASHRAE Level I, II, and III energy audits, lighting audits, and feasibility studies. Visit facilities and collect information on building equipment by inspecting electrical, mechanical, and building envelope systems, while interviewing site personnel. Review and evaluate building drawings, schematics, schedules, and shop drawings to support building energy modelling and project design. Perform utility analysis, develop building energy models, and generate comprehensive audit reports. Utilize and improve digital energy and lighting assessment tools to identify energy efficiency opportunities. Develop energy models using e QUEST, RETScreen, and other modelling software. Conduct benchmarking and performance analysis using ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. Calculate energy savings, utility reductions, greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions, and carbon emission reductions. Prepare Measurement & Verification (M&V) plans in accordance with industry standards and protocols. Conduct benchmark analysis, feasibility analysis, real-time energy analysis, ISO 50001 conformity assessments, and energy performance evaluations. Support the design and implementation of renewable energy projects including:Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Thermal Geothermal Systems Wind Energy Systems Assist in identifying energy conservation measures (ECMs) and preparing technical proposals including:Scope of work Technologies used Annual energy and water savings Carbon reduction impacts Project lifecycle analysis Perform lifecycle cost analysis, cash flow analysis, and cost-effectiveness evaluations. Utilize Eniscope hardware technology and energy monitoring systems. Collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, consultants, and clients throughout project development and implementation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in:Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Energy Engineering Renewable Energy Engineering Or related engineering discipline Master’s degree or PhD in Renewable Energy or Energy Systems is considered an asset. Minimum 5 years of experience in:Energy auditing Energy management Building energy modelling Renewable energy systems Energy efficiency consulting
Required Certifications
The following certifications are required or strongly preferred:Certified Energy Manager (CEM) – AEECertified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) – AEEISO 50001 Practitioner Working at Heights Training Manual Handling Training
