Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based in Cairo, Egypt. The Pharmacist will dispense medications accurately, review prescriptions for appropriateness and potential interactions, and provide patient counseling on proper medication use, side effects, and adherence. The role includes monitoring patient profiles, maintaining accurate documentation within electronic pharmacy systems, and ensuring compliance with all legal, safety, and professional standards. The Pharmacist will collaborate with other healthcare providers when needed, support inventory management and stock control, and contribute to the implementation and optimization of the pharmacy’s digital tools and workflows. The role also involves delivering high-quality customer service, responding to health-related inquiries, and participating in continuous improvement and training activities.
Qualifications
Licensed Pharmacist with a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (or higher) from an accredited institution; valid registration with the relevant Egyptian regulatory body. Strong clinical pharmacy knowledge, including pharmacology, drug interactions, contraindications, and evidence-based therapeutic guidelines. Proficiency with electronic prescribing systems, pharmacy management software, and basic digital tools to support technology-enabled pharmacy services. Excellent medication dispensing, prescription verification, and documentation skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and patient counseling skills, including the ability to explain complex medical information in clear, accessible language. Customer service orientation, with the ability to handle inquiries, resolve issues professionally, and maintain patient confidentiality. Strong organizational and time-management abilities to manage workload, prioritize tasks, and support inventory and stock control. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and other healthcare providers. Commitment to ethical practice, regulatory compliance, and continuous learning in line with evolving pharmacy standards and technologies. Previous experience in community or retail pharmacy is preferred; familiarity with technology-driven or chain pharmacy environments is an advantage.
