Job Details

The Senior Accountant plays a key role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of EYouth's financial records across its multi-entity operations in Egypt, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, compliance with local tax regulations, and support for consolidated financial reporting. The Senior Accountant works closely with the Finance Manager and collaborates cross-functionally with Commercial and Operations teams. Key Responsibilities General Ledger & Month-End Close Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all journal entries across EYouth Egypt and EYouth Limited (UAE/KSA entities) Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures within required timelines Prepare and review account reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments Support preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements Accounts Receivable & Payable Oversee AR/AP cycles including invoice processing, payment runs, and collection follow-up Monitor aging reports and coordinate with the Commercial team on outstanding balances Process intercompany transactions and perform intercompany reconciliations across EGP, AED, and SARBank Reconciliation & Cash Management Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all company accounts Identify and resolve discrepancies including unrecorded transactions, FX fees, and ad spend charges Support cash flow forecasting and weekly disbursement reporting to senior management Tax Compliance Prepare and file monthly VAT returns and withholding tax (WHT) submissions in compliance with Egyptian Tax Authority requirements Support annual corporate income tax (CIT) filing and coordinate with external auditors Ensure accurate tax provisioning and maintain supporting documentation ERP & Systems Operate and maintain financial records in Odoo and Quick Books Ensure chart of accounts integrity, analytic tagging, and cost center allocations are correctly applied Support ERP data imports, reconciliation, and system hygiene initiatives Reporting & Analysis Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and executive dashboards Contribute to quarterly reports and other ad hoc financial analyses Maintain accurate multi-currency records and support FX gain/loss reporting Qualifications & Requirements Education & Certification Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required) CPA, CMA, or ACCA qualification — completed or in progress (preferred) Experience5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or regional company Solid understanding of Egyptian tax regulations (VAT, WHT, CIT) is required Experience with multi-currency accounting (EGP, AED, SAR) is strongly preferred Prior exposure to EdTech, training, or professional services sectors is a plus Technical Skills Proficiency in Odoo ERP and/or Quick Books (required) Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial modelling Familiarity with IFRS revenue recognition principles Experience with intercompany reconciliations and consolidation Soft Skills High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Strong communication skills in Arabic and English (written and spoken) Collaborative mindset with cross-functional coordination experience????
