Roles & Responsibilities

Overseeing full spectrum of the accounts e.g. treasury accounts, receivable accounts, inventory accounts, tangible & intangible asset accounts, payable accounts, revenue accounts, expense accounts and all activity via accounts. Ensuring timely, accurate and complete monthly close as well as prepare accounts' reconciliations in accordance with financial reporting standards. Formulating statement of financial position, income statement, cash flow statement, budget and other financial statements are prepared on time. Developing departmental and organizational budgets with relevant people and organizations and then monitoring spending patterns and implement measures to promote adherence to budgets. Analyzing financial information provided, branches' performance and variance analysis and analyze ratios and trends in financial performance. Providing management with insights into revenue, customers, products and expenses as well as presenting recommendations about risks and opportunities to avoid possible fraud and errors. Supporting operational departments with financial data to facilitate costs' analysis, pricing and special projects as required. Managing the banks' deals and transactions and optimizing the handling of banks and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position and cash management. Fully responsible for obtaining credit facilities by providing financial analyzes and reports necessary for that. Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year to ensure all the taxes types are on time with the deadline as well as developing tax strategies and policies that support the business and maintain compliance with tax laws and regulations. Maintaining solid relationships between the company and external auditors and regulatory authorities. Leading, mentoring and developing the finance department team by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training and maintaining strong employee relationships.

Work Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CMA, MBA) preferred. Minimum of 10 -15 years of experience & Proven experience (+6 years) in a senior finance leadership role in the retail industry. ERP is a must (Odoo preferred). In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices Financial Modelling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) certification is preferable. Strong financial acumen and expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and standards. Demonstrated experience in cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams. Strategic mindset with the ability to provide financial insights and support to drive business growth. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Proficient in spreadsheets, large data sets, databases, MS Office and financial applications
