Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive maintenance, repair, and renewal of all demo lab equipment.
- Systematically organize the lab by creating and maintaining clear inventory and maintenance lists.
- Fabricate custom or replacement parts for damaged or incomplete experiments.
- Manage lab resources and ensure availability for key activities
- Support physics outreach workshops for ages 8-16, as required.
Qualifications:
- A University degree in Production, Applied Arts, or Engineering or a degree from a 5-year Industrial Technical Institute.
Essential Technical Skills & Abilities:
Design & Fabrication:
- High proficiency in AutoCAD & SolidWorks.
- Proven ability to maintain, develop, and manufacture parts for physics demonstration experiments.
Organization & Data Management:
- High ability to create, manage, and migrate inventory data using MS Access & Excel.
- Experience in establishing a structured database for equipment tracking, maintenance scheduling, and procurement.
Personal Attributes:
- Proactive, hands-on problem-solver.
- Meticulously detail oriented.
- Passionate about organization and preserving a scientific legacy.
