Title: IBM web Methods System Engineer

Overview As the IBM web Methods System Engineer , you will be the primary technical owner and subject matter expert for the IBM web Methods platform within the Azure cloud environment. You will handle the end-to-end setup, configuration, deployment, hardening, integration, and ongoing operations of web Methods as the enterprise integration backbone, API gateway, and event-driven messaging layer. This role ensures reliable, secure, and high-performance connectivity across all systems.

Key Responsibilities

Handle the full lifecycle of IBM web Methods platform deployment on Azure (including Azure Red Hat Open Shift or AKS where applicable) Design, install, configure, and harden web Methods Integration Server, API Gateway, Universal Messaging, and related components (e.g., web Methods Broker, Trading Networks if in scope) Architect and implement high-availability, clustered, and scalable web Methods environments (multi-node setups, load balancing, failover, disaster recovery) Configure secure connectivity patterns: REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven messaging (pub/sub), hybrid integration, B2B gateways, and OAuth/JWT authentication Implement security and compliance controls for web Methods Design and automate CI/CD pipelines for web Methods assets (packages, configurations, APIs) using Azure Dev Ops, Git, and web Methods Deployer or custom scripts Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and optimization of web Methods runtime Document architecture, configurations, runbooks, and operational procedures

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years hands-on experience with IBM web Methods platform (Integration Server, API Gateway, Universal Messaging, Broker) 5+ years deploying and managing web Methods in cloud environments, preferably Azure (AKS, Open Shift, VMs) Strong expertise in web Methods architecture patterns knowledge of Azure security services relevant to middleware Hands-on with CI/CD for web Methods (Azure Dev Ops, Deployer, Git, scripting) Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis skills in distributed integration environments Excellent documentation, stakeholder communication, and mentoring abilities

Short business travel maybe required
