Position: HR Specialist Reporting to: HR Supervisor Location: Marsa Alam-Egypt Role Purpose The HR Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive HR operational and employee support within the Sukari site operation. The role supports recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, workforce coordination, compliance, performance management, and HR governance activities while partnering closely with site leadership and employees. The position is designed to support the transition of the HR function from a primarily transactional role into a stronger operational HR support and business partnering function, contributing to improved HR processes, workforce effectiveness, compliance, and employee engagement across site operations.
Duties & Responsibilities: Recruitment & Onboarding• Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities for site-based positions across all departments• Screen and shortlist CVs in line with operational and technical requirements• Conduct HR interviews and coordinate interviews with Hiring Managers and department heads• Coordinate candidate mobilization, onboarding, inductions, and site access requirements• Follow up on employment documentation, medical checks, security clearances, and onboarding compliance• Coordinate travel, accommodation, and mobilization arrangements for new hires where required• Maintain updated recruitment trackers and employee databases Employee Relations & HR Support• Act as a key HR contact for employees and support line managers on HR-related matters• Support disciplinary actions, investigations, grievances, and employee relations cases in line with company procedures• Participate in investigations and prepare supporting documentation and reports where required• Provide HR guidance and support to employees and supervisors on company policies and procedures• Support employee engagement and workforce communication initiatives HR Operations & Administration• Manage employment contracts, renewals, HR letters, and employee documentation• Maintain employee records and ensure all HR documentation is accurate and up to date• Coordinate attendance management, leave tracking, roster updates, and payroll input preparation• Follow up on employee requests and ensure timely HR support delivery• Coordinate medical reports, sick leave administration, and employee file management• Support HR reporting requirements and maintain HR trackers and Share Point records Performance Management & Talent Support• Coordinate mid-year and end-year performance review processes across departments• Support managers with performance review administration and follow-up• Assist in identifying employee development needs and support talent development initiatives• Contribute to strengthening HR capability and promoting structured HR processes across site operations Compliance & Governance• Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, client requirements, and site procedures• Support audits, inspections, and workforce compliance requirements• Maintain proper HR governance, process controls, and documentation standards• Monitor contract renewals, employee documentation validity, and workforce compliance obligations Stakeholder & Operational Support• Build effective working relationships with operational leadership, department heads, and employees• Attend operational and departmental meetings as required to support workforce coordination• Support workforce planning and operational manpower coordination activities• Partner with management to support workforce stability and operational continuity Accommodation & Employee Coordination• Coordinate accommodation planning and employee room allocation where required• Support administration related to accommodation contracts, vendor coordination, and employee facilities• Coordinate with Camp Administration and other departments regarding employee mobilization and accommodation matters Health, Safety & Environment• Maintain full compliance with all Capital and client HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements at all times• Support and promote safe working practices across the operation Knowledge & Skills Required: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Good stakeholder coordination and relationship management capability Strong organizational and time management skills Problem-solving and conflict resolution capability Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment Good understanding of HR processes and labor law compliance Proficient in MS Office and HR systems Good command of English preferred Ability to handle confidential information professionally
Qualification & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field HR Diploma or equivalent certification preferred Minimum 3–5 years’ HR experience, preferably within mining, construction, industrial, or remote site operations Experience in recruitment, employee relations, HR operations, and workforce coordination Work Conditions Site-based role within a mining operational environment Rotation and remote site conditions may apply Flexibility to support operational requirements when required
