The Oracle Utilities Technical Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and leading enterprise-grade solutions within the Oracle Utilities ecosystem. This role focuses on delivering scalable and secure integrations for utility companies across AMI, customer engagement, and analytics domains. The Lead will oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from technical architecture and design to deployment and onsite-offshore coordination. Core Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Delivery: Lead technical teams through full-cycle Oracle Utilities implementations. DCX & CX Implementation: Develop and customize components for Digital Customer Experience (DCX), including widgets and flows in DCS/CX4U to meet specific branding and UX requirements. System Integration: Design and implement real-time data exchange solutions between DCX, CC&B, and MDM using REST/SOAP APIs and Oracle Middleware (SOA/OSB). Product Customization: Extend Oracle Utilities products using the Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF), Java, Groovy, and Oracle JET. Functional Configuration: Configure complex utility rate structures, including tiered, net-metering, and Time-of-Use (TOU) rates. Automation & Analytics: Implement Oracle Intelligent Advisor (OIA) for real-time reporting and Oracle Digital Assistant (ODA) for self-service customer interactions. Data Management: Develop high-performance extract batch programs and automated onboarding processes (IWS) to minimize manual intervention. Quality Assurance: Design and execute test plans for complex configurations, utilizing SQL and the V-model validation process.
Required Skills & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication or a related technical field. Frameworks & Tools: Expert-level knowledge of Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF). Technical Stack: Proficiency in Java, Groovy, Java Script, XML, and Oracle JET. Integration: Extensive experience with IWS, XAI, SOAP/REST APIs, and Oracle Middleware. Functional Expertise: In-depth understanding of Business Objects (BO), Maintenance Objects (MO), Business Services (BS), Zones, Batches, and Extendable Lookups. Methodology: Strong experience in Agile/Scrum environments and managing onsite-offshore delivery models. Documentation & Design Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including architectural design specifications, configuration guides, and deployment plans. Document all code changes to ensure maintainability and audit compliance.
