Job Title: Head of Security. Reporting Line: Security Manager. We are looking for you as early as possible as Head of Security for DB-El Sewedy Rail Operation Egypt for the primary location Cairo. The role: The Head of Security provides strategic and technical leadership for all physical security across complex operations. The role ensures that people, equipment, and assets are protected through advanced engineering controls, technology-driven risk management, and rigorous compliance with global standards, including also responsibilities on Information Security, Access Control and Cyber Security (together with IT).
Your responsibilities: Responsible for security of the company, ensuring compliance with global physical security and Information Security guidelines. Develop loss-control systems and programs for incorporation into operational policies of the organization. Develop, implement, coordinate, maintain, and monitor enterprise-wide physical security and policies, procedures, and guidelines for the protection of employees, information, assets, and the reputation of the organization. Establish and maintain a modified work program for employees with restrictions. Manage and be a member of the Emergency Response Team. Establish organization-wide standards and best practices, including developing policies, procedures, and workflows for the Security Workstream Work closely with operations to identify risks and develop/implement a control methodology for these risks. Ensure regulatory reports are completed accurately, reviewed thoroughly, and submitted on time. Continuously identify, assess, and reduce/eliminate Security risks. Investigate all accidents and injuries, recommend and/or coordinate corrective actions. The individual in this position must be capable of performing all of the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Liaise with the local law enforcement agency on security issues and maintain site security. Liaise with emergency services, ambulances, and fire service in times of emergency and disastrous events. Conduct regular security guard force performance review activities. Conduct a monthly internal compliance audit on specific Physical Security requirements of clients as per MSA or SOW.
Your profile/ qualifications: Bachelor's degree Minimum 10-15 years of experience in the security industry. Ex-military background (preference in Intelligence). Proven knowledge of all aspects of compliance, including a general working knowledge of pertinent law and the law enforcement community. Knowledge about information technology and information security as well. Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic, with excellent communication skills. Other languages are preferred. Experience working in a diverse and fast-paced multinational environment will be treated as an advantage. Good understanding of facility maintenance. Advanced and independent user of MS Office applications, mainly Excel.

Proven time management and organizational skills, effectively prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines. Excellent presentation skills, capable of delivering clear and concise insights to stakeholders at all levels. Good understanding of the business operations of a company in the security and safety industry or equivalent industry knowledge, enabling effective analysis and recommendations. Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, start-up environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and managing multiple projects. Strong ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of analysis and recommendations. Solution-oriented mindset, actively seeking opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency. Strong client orientation and a quick response attitude, providing exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders. Willingness to learn about company standards and procedures, incorporating them into analysis and recommendations. Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization and collaborate as a team player. Ability to work with a diverse workforce in intercultural environments, promoting inclusivity and cultural sensitivity. Proficient in MS Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and relevant IT systems, leveraging technology for data analysis and reporting. Willingness to take on a management position.
