The Trainer in Dell Storage Solutions is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering technical training curriculum focused on Dell’s enterprise storage platforms (Power Store, Power Scale, Power Flex, Unity). The role ensures that partners, customers, and internal staff are adept at installing, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting high-end data storage environments
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Development: Create comprehensive training materials, including presentations, hands-on lab guides (v Labs), video tutorials, and assessments focusing on Dell EMC Storage solutions. Instructional Delivery: Conduct Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) to technical audiences. Product Expertise: Maintain in-depth knowledge of Dell storage technology, including Power Store, Power Scale (Isilon), Power Flex, and Data Protection suites. Lab Management: Maintain and update demonstration storage environments for practical workshops. Technical Consulting: Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to help teams bridge the gap between product capabilities and customer needs. Continuous Improvement: Update training content based on new product releases, firmware updates, and feedback from the field.
Technical Skills Required
Dell Storage Portfolio: Solid understanding of Power Store, Power Scale, Power Max, and Unity storage arrays. Storage Networking: Expertise in Fibre Channel (FC) SAN, i SCSI, NAS, and IP networking. Operating Systems & Virtualisation: Knowledge of Linux/UNIX, Windows Server, and VMware ESXi environments. Data Protection: Familiarity with Dell Data Domain and Power Protect Data Manager. Tools & Protocols: Familiarity with REST APIs, CLI management, and storage monitoring tools.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred. Relevant certifications, such as Dell Technologies Proven Professional (Storage Management), are highly preferred. Previous experience in technical training, technical consulting, or storage administration. Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
