Job Details

We are seeking an IT Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the school's entire technology and infrastructure. This includes managing a wide range of systems, from the Microsoft 365 platform and school management software to the network, security systems, and hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, CCTV system, attendance machines, and smart screens).
The ideal candidate is a proactive and highly skilled professional who can provide strategic direction and hands-on technical support to ensure the seamless operation of all IT-related services. Candidate has to hold a strong personality.
Key Responsibilities:
System & Network Administration:Manage and maintain the school's Microsoft 365 environment, including user accounts, emails, security settings, and application deployment. Administer the Active Directory environment including but not limited to users’ accounts, groups, profiles, group policies, DHCP and DNS. Oversee the school's network, including both wired and wireless technology, to ensure reliable and secure connectivity for all users. Manage and monitor the school's firewall, implementing security policies to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats and facilitate traffic flow. Coordinate with Internet service providers to maintain the internet stability and security. Administer and support the SIMS (School Information Management System), ensuring data integrity and providing training and support to staff. In addition to handling communication with the vendor when necessary. Administer the school websites in terms of security and maintaining and updating information and plugins to the latest version.
Security & Hardware Management:Administer the school's security systems, including the CCTV and NVR, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly and footage is securely stored. Provide hands-on support for all IT hardware, including computers, laptops, projectors, screens, Printers and peripherals. Implement and maintain data backup and recovery procedures to protect against data loss.
User Support & Strategic Planning:Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT-related issues, providing timely and effective technical support to staff and students. Develop and deliver training sessions for staff on new technologies and best practices. Collaborate with school leadership to develop and implement a long-term IT strategy, including budget planning and hardware and software procurement. Conduct the required reports when needed.
Qualifications Proven experience in IT technical management, preferably within an educational setting. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and support. Strong knowledge of managing and administering Microsoft Active Directory environment. Good knowledge of server virtualization technologies. Good knowledge of Windows Imaging technology. Good knowledge in Word Press. Experience with SIMS or other school management systems is highly desirable. Expertise in network administration, including wireless technologies, and a solid understanding of firewall management - Fortigate. Familiarity with CCTV, NVR systems, and attendance machines. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing excellent customer service. Strong management skills with solid personality. Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified, Cisco) are a plus
