Position Summary The Sales Engineer will bridge technical expertise and sales, helping clients select the right pool equipment, preparing quotations, providing after-sales support, and closing deals. This role requires knowledge of pool hydraulics, filtration systems, pumps, and chemical treatment – combined with strong selling skills.
Key Responsibilities Technical Sales & Consulting Meet with walk-in clients and handle calls/Whats App inquiries to understand their pool specifications (size, volume, usage type).
Recommend appropriate pool equipment: pumps, filters (sand/cartridge/DE), heaters, chlorinators, lights, cleaning systems, and spare parts.
Prepare technical and commercial offers, including system design suggestions and installation guidance.
Upsell maintenance contracts, chemical kits, and energy-efficient solutions.
Quotations & Order Management Generate accurate quotations, proforma invoices, and sales orders.
Follow up on pending proposals and negotiate pricing within company guidelines.
Coordinate with warehouse/logistics for timely order fulfillment and delivery.
Customer Support & Problem-Solving Provide basic technical troubleshooting for pump failures, leaks, or pressure issues.
Educate customers on proper pool maintenance, chemical dosing, and equipment lifespan.
Handle returns, warranty claims, and replacement parts efficiently.
Market & Product Knowledge Stay updated on new pool technologies (variable-speed pumps, salt chlorinators, automation systems).
Track competitors’ pricing and product offerings in the Egyptian pool market.
Report customer feedback to management for inventory and product planning.
Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
1–3 years of sales or technical support experience in swimming pools, water treatment, pumps, or HVAC.
Strong understanding of pool hydraulics, pump curves, filtration cycles, and basic chemistry.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills in Arabic (English is a plus for technical terms).
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel for quotations, Word for proposals).
Preferred Previous experience with pool equipment brands (Pentair, Hayward, Astral, Emaux, Waterco, etc.).
Familiarity with CRM tools or inventory systems.
Existing network of pool contractors, facility managers, or villa owners.
