General Description of Role & Responsibilities:Review of contract terms and conditions for any new business opportunities and contract retenders identifying any key commercial risks and preparing legal summary as part of tender sign-off process Together with Commercial Director, lead contract negotiation process with client commercial interfacing with business development, operations and client commercial team as required Preparation of contract guides and presentations to improve contract awareness and enable operations teams to understand and effectively manage key commercial and contractual risks Undertake commercial audits against contract risk registers Act as a key focal point for all legal and commercial issues within the division and provide assistance and advice to members of the contract operations team Ensure that the contract operations teams are aware of key contractual commercial requirements, and implications of non-performance
Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in engineering / quantity surveying / construction management – Mandatory. Degree in Quantity Surveying or Cost Engineering – Preferred. Minimum 10 years of overall experience in construction projects, including at least 5 years in Commercial/Contract Management. Strong hands-on experience in commercial and cost management may compensate for academic specialization. Solid understanding pf procurement processes, variation orders, and risk management. Very good English language skills (written and spoken) - mandatory. Experience in large-scale infrastructure, commercial, or residential projects is preferred.
