Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Steam Manager at Scimitar Production Egypt Ltd., located in Cairo, Egypt. The Steam Manager will oversee and manage all steam injection and steam generation processes at the Issaran field to maximize heavy oil recovery. Responsibilities include supervising steam operations, ensuring the quality of steam output, maintaining safety and environmental compliance, and coordinating with other teams to optimize production. Additional duties may include equipment maintenance planning, troubleshooting issues, and implementing technology upgrades to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Expertise in steam injection, steam generation, and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) techniques. Strong operational experience in heavy oil and fractured carbonate reservoir development. Proficiency in steam utility systems, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance protocols. Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with external stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving capabilities in fast-paced environments. Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Prior experience in oil and gas field operations, particularly in heavy oil recovery, is preferred. Familiarity with technological advancements in EOR and field development planning is an advantage.
