1. Operations Accounting

• Record all freight transactions (Air / Ocean / Land shipments)
• Match Job Files (HBL / MBL / AWB) with financial entries
• Calculate shipment profitability (Revenue vs Cost per shipment)

2. Invoicing & Billing

• Prepare customer invoices based on:
  • Freight charges
  • Handling fees
  • Customs clearance
  • Additional services
• Ensure invoices align with agreed rates and contracts

3. Cost Control

• Verify supplier invoices (airlines, shipping lines, trucking, customs brokers)
• Allocate costs correctly to each shipment file
• Monitor discrepancies between quoted vs actual costs

4. Accounts Payable (AP)

• Process payments to:
  • Carriers (Airlines / Shipping lines)
  • Agents & overseas partners
  • Local service providers
• Reconcile supplier statements

5. Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Follow up on customer collections
• Maintain aging reports
• Coordinate with operations/sales for disputed invoices

6. Reconciliation

• Job file reconciliation (Operational system vs accounting system)
• Bank reconciliation related to freight transactions
• Intercompany / agent account reconciliation

7. Reporting

• Prepare:
  • Shipment profitability reports
  • Monthly revenue & cost reports
  • GP (Gross Profit) per shipment / customer
• Support management with financial insights
