Role Description As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing civil engineering projects from concept through execution. You will prepare detailed plans and drawings, ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards, and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams. You will contribute to the planning, analysis, and implementation of infrastructure or structural projects while maintaining high-quality standards, sustainability, and regulatory compliance. You may also be required to present previous project work to demonstrate your technical capabilities and practical expertise.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a government-accredited university2–6 years of experience in civil engineering design or project execution Strong drafting skills for civil or structural systems Very good proficiency in Civil 3D – Auto CADExamples of previous project work are required Very good command of English (written and spoken) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and remotely Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of national standards and codes Familiarity with value engineering and permit processes is a plus
Key Responsibilities:Prepare land development plans, grading plans, and drainage and stormwater management reports. Perform stormwater modeling and hydraulic/hydrologic calculations for various design storm events in compliance with FDOT, INDOT, and local drainage manuals. Design and model water, sewer, and stormwater utility systems using Civil 3D and related software. Develop erosion and sediment control plans and ensure compliance with NPDES and local permitting requirements. Prepare technical reports, construction drawings, and cost estimates for review and approval. Coordinate with surveyors, planners, and permitting agencies throughout project development. Provide construction phase support including responses to RFIs and field design adjustment.
