Role: Operations Manager — International School (New Administrative Capital, Cairo) On-site only (mandatory) • Immediate start (mandatory) About the Role We are an international school in the New Administrative Capital seeking an on-site Operations Manager to lead and improve all non-academic operations. You will oversee transportation and buses, housekeeping, security, maintenance, warehouse and inventory, facilities, child safeguarding, night academies, and events preparation. Your work will help create a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment for students, parents, and staff.
What You’ll DoTransportation and Buses: Plan routes and schedules, ensure punctual and safe service, and oversee drivers and bus monitors. Use practical tools for tracking buses, managing fuel, and scheduling preventive maintenance. Communicate clearly with parents and respond to any incidents with care and professionalism.
Housekeeping: Keep classrooms, laboratories, offices, and common areas clean and presentable every day. Organize staff rosters, use clear checklists, and run regular quality walk-throughs. Manage supplies and coordinate with service providers when needed.
Security and Child Safeguarding: Lead gate operations, visitor management, and camera monitoring. Maintain strong child safeguarding practices: staff awareness, access controls, supervision standards, reporting lines, and incident logs. Coordinate emergency drills and follow-up actions.
Maintenance and Facilities: Run preventive and corrective maintenance for building systems, classrooms, playgrounds, sports areas, and shared facilities. Manage work requests, schedules, and contractor performance so issues are handled quickly and safely. Oversee facilities readiness, utilities, grounds, and space setup to support learning and activities.
Warehouse and Inventory: Manage receiving, storage, and issuing of school items (classroom supplies, maintenance parts, technology, uniforms, event materials, office supplies). Keep accurate stock records, set minimum and maximum levels, rotate stock to prevent expiry or damage, and ensure timely delivery to departments.
Night Academies and After-School Programs: Coordinate space bookings, staffing, lighting, security coverage, cleaning turnarounds, and transportation where needed. Ensure parent communication and safety procedures are in place for evening activities.
Events Preparation and Logistics: Plan and deliver school events and ceremonies: timelines, room layouts, audio and visual needs, signage, and vendor coordination. Lead setup and takedown, and ensure smooth operations on the day of the event.
Lead general Non-Academic Operations
Take full ownership of non-academic areas such as the cafeteria and catering, uniforms, grounds, and utilities.
Create clear procedures and continuity plans, and work closely with Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, and Information Technology.
Share simple weekly updates and lead short daily check-ins to keep everyone aligned.
What We’re Looking For Six to ten years of hands-on operations leadership in international schools and universities. Experience in kindergarten through grade 12 is a strong plus. Proven experience managing at least three of the following: transportation and buses, housekeeping, security, maintenance, warehouse and inventory, facilities, or events. A steady leader who can organize teams across shifts, work well with contractors, and stay calm under pressure. Comfortable with spreadsheets and basic operations systems; able to learn new tools quickly. Clear communicator in both English and Arabic. Able to work on-site in the New Administrative Capital and start immediately.
What We Offer Monthly salary: 35,000 to 50,000 Egyptian pounds, depending on experience. Medical & social insurance. Transportation
