Job Responsibilities1. Day to Day Operations Proactively work with the local Marketing team to develop and support the product innovation agenda. Establish sensory tasting capability to define the sensory characteristics and key attributes of our products Vs competitors. Supervise the development of new processed meat products from concept to commercial production. Manage Pilot trial activities on-site. Initiate, manage, and monitor pro-active collaborative research studies with external third parties to discover new functional ingredients which will add value to food processing activities. Support in customer presentations (new ideas, sales visits, various issues…). Documentation of all trials, samples’ data, specifications and costing. Support sales staff in terms of samples and customer queries.2. Process / Market Innovation and Optimization:Work on enhancing production processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency without compromising product quality. Stay updated with the latest innovations and technologies in the food manufacturing sector and market trends and analyze consumer needs to propose innovative product development ideas and implement them. Collaborate with production teams to ensure product compatibility with production lines. Ensure competitive advantage is generated and maintained in-market.3. Quality Assurance and Food Safety:Ensure all developed products comply with local and international quality and food safety standards. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure products meet health and safety regulations.
Job Qualification:Academic and professional qualifications:BSc degree in Food Science, Food Processing or Veterinary. Experience: The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role in the processed meat industry. Additional certifications in product development or quality management are a plus. Solid knowledge of food manufacturing technologies and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000). Proficiency in data analysis tools and R&D management software.
