About the Role We’re hiring a Senior Product Owner who can take full ownership of product direction, backlog quality, delivery alignment, and business value realization. This role is primarily for a strong product professional who knows how to work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to turn business needs into clear, well-prioritized, well-executed outcomes. The ideal candidate is first and foremost an excellent Product Owner with proven experience in backlog ownership, prioritization, stakeholder alignment, and outcome-driven delivery. In addition, they should bring strong Scrum and Agile execution skills to help teams operate with clarity, discipline, and predictability. This is not a Scrum Master-first role. We are looking for someone who can own the product, drive clarity, and ensure execution stays aligned with priorities, timelines, and measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities Product Ownership Own and manage the product backlog end-to-end, including prioritization, refinement, sequencing, and scope trade-off decisions. Translate business goals and operational needs into clear epics, features, and user stories with complete acceptance criteria. Work closely with business stakeholders, engineering, design, QA, and leadership to ensure alignment on priorities and roadmap direction. Define sprint and release goals based on business value, dependencies, and delivery capacity. Ensure backlog readiness and quality so the team always works on clear, actionable, and valuable items. Track product success through measurable KPIs such as adoption, conversion, retention, operational efficiency, delivery impact, and customer value. Validate outcomes through demos, stakeholder feedback, usage insights, and data-driven iteration. Act as the key decision-maker for scope clarification, priority calls, and product execution direction during delivery cycles. Agile and Scrum Delivery Support Lead or support Scrum ceremonies effectively, including Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives, ensuring they are focused and outcome-oriented. Apply strong Scrum and Agile practices to improve team discipline, transparency, accountability, and execution flow. Remove blockers proactively and escalate issues with clear analysis, options, and impact. Support the team in improving delivery predictability, focus, and release readiness. Partner with Engineering Leads to strengthen estimation quality, work slicing, test discipline, release hygiene, and execution consistency. Help create a healthy delivery culture that encourages ownership, constructive challenge, and continuous improvement. Jira Excellence Design and maintain Jira boards, workflows, dashboards, filters, reports, and views that support product and delivery visibility. Build advanced JQL queries, automation rules, and executive dashboards that provide transparency for teams and leadership. Ensure strong backlog hygiene across stories, dependencies, epics, releases, versions, and sprint structures. Use Jira as a high-quality product and execution management tool, not just a ticket tracker.
Must-Have Requirements Proven experience as a Senior Product Owner or equivalent product role with hands-on ownership of backlog, prioritization, stakeholder management, and release planning. Strong experience writing and refining user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and converting business requirements into structured delivery-ready work. Solid Scrum and Agile experience, with the ability to run or support delivery rituals and improve execution quality. Strong ability to influence without authority and drive accountability across cross-functional teams. Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Proven experience improving delivery outcomes through stronger backlog quality, prioritization, team alignment, and execution discipline. Advanced Jira proficiency is mandatory, including dashboards, JQL, workflow design, automation, and reporting. Strong English communication, both written and spoken. Preferred Background Previous experience in Saa S, fintech, health-tech, or complex platform-based products. Experience working in environments that require strong coordination between business, engineering, QA, and operations. Familiarity with Agile metrics such as velocity trends, throughput, cycle time, spillover, and defect leakage. Knowledge of discovery practices such as problem framing, user interviews, and hypothesis validation. Familiarity with Dev Ops, CI/CD concepts, and release management. Scrum or Product certifications are a plus, but practical capability matters more than certificates. What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days The backlog becomes structured, prioritized, clear, and consistently ready for execution. Teams receive well-defined work with stronger acceptance criteria and fewer ambiguities. Sprint and release execution become more predictable due to better product ownership and planning quality. Stakeholders have better visibility, better alignment, and faster decisions. Jira dashboards and reporting provide real transparency into priorities, progress, blockers, and delivery risks. The engineering team experiences clearer direction, faster clarification, and stronger day-to-day product support.
